We finshed 3rd overall, 3rd unlimited.  Not bad, not bad at all.

The #1 and #2 drivers were current or former stage rally drivers. Marinus is proud to have been as close as we were to ’em. The traction was … minimal.

We’ve been by Spences Bridge two dozen times, but this is the first time we saw a wild bighorn sheep there.  To make up for all the misses, we saw two dozen on Sunday, in little drabs, munching away beside the highway.

 

Checking in at HQ. Then we begin the 9 hour drive home; We might be on the podium.; Will see what happens.

Cars 6 4 9 13 10 have withdrawn.

Altercation with bald eagle.  It flew away.

This is not our car — you can see Marilyn’s passenger door open in the background. Yeah – two red iXs, what are the odds?  (if it’s a snow rally around here, pretty good odds).

We survived with only a broken mirror.  One car out with broken oil pan.  Jeff and Pete out with broken rocket.  Curt went off in deep snow. Tough day in unlimited class.
